The Gatekeepers story began in New Orleans at Tulane University, where five friends came together after studying abroad with a shared idea: planning a trip should be almost as exciting as taking it.

Abroad gave us some of the best memories of our lives. But behind every weekend adventure were hours of research, endless group chats, and the familiar question: “Wait, who owes who?” Between finding places to stay, choosing experiences, and splitting costs, getting everyone on the same page could feel like a full-time job.

We knew there had to be an easier way. That’s why we created The Gatekeepers—to help students spend less time figuring out the details and more time enjoying the places and people around them. Our goal is to make planning easier, decisions quicker, and splitting costs simpler, so those “we should go” conversations can turn into actual trips.

For us, travel is about the friendships that grow along the way, the places you never expected to love, and the stories you’re still telling long after you get home. We want more students to experience that, with fewer planning headaches along the way.

We’ve been the friends planning the trip. Now, we’re here to help you plan yours.
